ACA International (ACA) is an international trade organization of credit and collection professionals that provide a variety of accounts receivable management services. Members must agree to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility as well as a Code of Operations. Members must agree to comply with all applicable laws, including the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. In addition to prohibiting harassment and abuse by collectors, this legislation provides proper procedures for obtaining consumer location information, communicating with consumers and disclosing that consumers have the right to dispute the validity of a debt. www.acainternational.org |
